The magazine offers internship or media training to interested candidates in defence journalism and military writing but they must fulfill certain criteria to be eligible to apply.
Candidates should have high level of writing qualities in English language and strong understanding of defence, strategic and foreign relations related issues.
The candidates shall observe all applicable rules, regulations, instructions, procedures and directives of the centre. The interns shall respect the impartiality and independence required for the reputation of the publication.
Candidates must possess a minimum of Bachelors degree in Journalism from a relevant institution. Those pursuing final year of a Masters degree in Journalism may also apply.
Internships ideally last for a period of not less than nine months and can be extended up to one year depending upon the performance.
The first one month of the internship will be unpaid. STRATEGIC AFFAIRS will pay Rs 8,000-10,000 per month after successful completion of one month, if found suitable.
